Some early experiments in trying to write an actual narrative song without the linguistic limitations becoming distractingly obvious failed completely, so I decided I was playing the game wrong. The challenge became to give the song a (hopefully interesting) structure which the lyrics fit into, rather than having the lyrics dictate the structure. The resulting recording is pretty minimalist but hopefully not without interest.
