(First vow) Today, I give thanks for who you are -- Someone who knows me, through and through; Someone who loves me, come what may. Today, I give thanks for what’s to come -- Sharing a lifetime hand in hand; Facing the future, day by day. Today, I look back on where we’ve been -- The memories we’ve made; The crazy things we do. The twists of fate that brought us here Where I can say . . . Today, I marry you. When I met you, I was a shadow, But you gave my life color and purpose. And ever since, I’ve waited Until the day When I could say to you . . . Today, I am making you this vow -- Promising always to be true; Promising love will find a way. Today, I am promising my heart -- Both through the good times and the bad, Even when we’re both old and grey. Today, I cannot contain my joy -- My life is now complete. I thank you and I love you And I’m proud to say . . . Today, I marry you. ***************************************** (Second vow) Today, I give thanks for all you’ve done -- Showing me things I’d never seen; Showing me I could find my way. Today, I give thanks for how you cared -- Nothing to ransom for your love; Nothing but kindness to repay. Today, I will marry my best friend -- Who’s been there at my side; Whose love has seen me through. You’ve given all you are to me And now I say . . . Today, I marry you. When I met you, I was in hell, But you lifted me up and I flew. And I’ve waited ‘til the day When I could say to you . . . Today, I am making you this vow -- Promising always to be true; Promising love will find a way. Today, I am promising my heart -- Both through the good times and the bad, Even when we’re both old and grey. Today, I cannot contain my joy -- My dreams are coming true. I thank you and I love you And I’m proud to say . . . Today, I marry you.

She: He’s gone now They said he had to go away Oh, please don’t be a fool Don’t be too brave Live to fight another day So I’m all alone And winter’s coming in Oh don’t be gone too long Don’t leave me all alone I’ll never understand why men kill other men Leaving fields stained with blood And tear them from their loves and lives I’ll never understand He: It’s cold here And I’m so very far away I’ll come marching back someday Please don’t let your heart stray I feel all alone But I look up at the stars With your locket near my heart And dream we’re not so far apart Both: I’ll never understand why men kill other men Leaving fields stained with blood And tear them from their loves and lives I’ll never understand Enter the Bad Guy: Oh little miss, you’re such a dreamer You don’t really think he’s coming back And if he does you know he’ll never be the same You’re gonna lose this land unless you take my name I’m gonna make you take my name My pockets lined with gold from killing Let bullets fly and cannons fire As I lie in wait to make you take my name I’mm gonna make you take my name She (He): And if he’s gone forever (I feel cold now) Then I just can’t stay here (Wish I could have said goodbye) Not with that man (The bullet found me) I’ll let the mighty river take me away (I’ll find you again someday) Both: I’ll never understand why men kill other men Leaving fields stained with blood And tear them from their loves and lives I’ll never understand

Lost downtown in the burning summer Wasted so many things all that year Oh oh But I guess that you'd know After all that we've been through Do you still feel the need to drag me down with you? Oh oh Well I guess so But I told you (and I heard you) This is the last time This is the last time That I call after midnight Headlights on an empty street Smile like you never knew me Like you don't see right through this charade I'm not gonna pull you out this time I'm not gonna be around To see your bleeding heart on parade I guess I'll just go missing I can see it all shattered Stained glas, got dirty And then got swept away I'm not playing this game I was getting along fine I wish you'd just leave When I know you won't stay Remember we were afraid of nothing If you'd like some aid in deconstructing Well keep looking Keep looking And the sirens And the stars we can never see And the silence That follows us down the busy street There's no hiding From the sliding back into day What do you like so much About the night anyway? Sunrise on an empty street Smile like you never knew me Like you don't see right through this charade I'm not gonna pull you out this time I'm not gonna be around To see your bleeding heart on parade So tell me why the light takes you apart The patterns I knew are only traces For all the world, I swear I'd love to make a new start Where I don't always find truth in dark places And I heard you This is the last time I call Call after midnight

Day four hundred and six These times I live On a brave, hearty ship Hundreds of islands In search of rubies and diamonds Among the waves of the sweet Caribbean Distant from the cold lands of home Entering lands unknown But baby, what I wouldn’t give to see you Do you think of me? When you’re out at sea? You’re so very far away Come on home, my dear Jeremy I miss the times you and I Would pass notes in school We didn’t care, we broke the rules You’re a dog and I’m a fool For falling for you Mother warned me about this Of boys that only linger for a kiss My only feelings for you were those of bliss Oh how I wish You would write to me In the dark now I can hear the gunshots Head for the hull, prepare for attack This might be the very last letter that I write And I must write fast; Darling when you wrote to me About how our love was fallacy I broke, I left, I up and packed, and joined the rats God, and I even know when I chose this life There’s no going back Years later I found letters in the cellar All in his hand, and all smelled of warm salty air They were kept in secret and locked away- A mother’s plan to keep a lover at bay

Lyman Boone: Well here I am in the Iron City jail, and all I've got to think about is how I failed. An older fellow wandered into the jail, a silver prospector with a big old grizzled beard and pale. Moonshine Scoundrel: Aren't you the cowboy they call Lyman Boone? The one with the gems and jewels and lots of booze? Boone: I'm the guy you heard about but I ain't got either. Scoundrel: I'm the Moonshine Scoundrel I'm here to bust you out. I run illegal liquor along the dusty route. Boone: I must admit I've never heard of it alcohol pitted against the law. Scoundrel: My moonshine gets you wacky but the lawmen call it foul. The town shop sales are lacking with my tonic on the prowl. Boone: What do you need me for? Scoundrel: Well, you're famous for your distilling skills, and a legend for your kills. Boone: And in it for me? Scoundrel: I set you free! (Time passes.) Sixty coins of solid heaven new barrels of booze sitting for our revenue. Boone: Your inventory tells half the story, half the west has gotten gory, just to stop our run. Scoundrel: Without the chase the work is half the fun. Boone: Powdered gems are useless all the dames will refuse this. Scoundrel: So, we'll sprinkle it in the moonshine and sell it as the juice of jewels. Boone: Crooked barons and corrupt tycoons will pay tons to soak up their drool. Scoundrel: We'll call it Rock Candy Tonic, it'll take the West by storm. Boone: Pop your brain like gun powder with the taste of sugar cane and corn. (Time passes.) We can't keep this up for long, we need more corn meal and yeast. Scoundrel: You can go and raid the nearest town and scoop us up a feast. Boone: Don't be thick, cause they'll be waiting we'll both by lynched by Sheriff Shark. Scoundrel: I've got your back with my blunderbuss, see? Just keep shooting sharp, and you'll have to trust me. Boone: The town wasn't ready for Lyman Boone and the Moonshine Scoundrel. We raked in a mountain of pearls and pocketbooks and all the ingredients that we'd need. We came back to find our distillery gone blown by TNT. Scoundrel: They're coming by horse. Keep your head down. I'll hold them off, just cover our tracks! Boone: I caught up and gunned down two, but the Deputy shot the Scoundrel through the shoe. Boone: Go on Boone and hop on a train, my name will live on if you start the business again.

Such a simple mission, what could go amiss? but Ensign Tucker had to go and touch that stupid rock that turned his cheese to Swiss, what warning signs did I miss? He’s dead, Jim - oh, you've got to try and save him He’s dead, Jim - I’m sure those holes will scab He’s dead, Jim - you’re supposed to be a freakin' doctor I count on you to bail me out, when my leadership goes south Another alien life form, I just want to say hello, hello and maybe I can screw it if it looks like it’s a girl but it looked at Crewman Lou, its eyes lit up, and he turned to goo He’s dead, Jim - get a shovel, we can scoop him up He’s dead, Jim - I’ve got a bucket here He’s dead, Jim - we’ll slosh him up to sick bay so you can get him on his feet, assuming you can find them We can take a man apart, down to the molecule and beam him half a million miles, and he’ll usually get through sometimes he’ll have a new goatee, but he’s basically intact so if we transport this glob of Lou, why can’t it bring him back? my name is mud at Starfleet (you've lost your mind) at least give it a shot (you've gone insane) don't look at me that way, Bones (you're freakin' crazy) don't look at me like that And that’s the truth your honor, some people died, it’s sad these things are bound to happen when you’re on a five year mission some breakage will occur, it’s a shame my own physician won’t concur He’s dead, Jim - Bones, why’d you have to rat me out? He’s dead, Jim - that's why I had to shoot the judge He’s dead, Jim - he was gonna put me in the stockade I got a ship to run, this phaser’s not on stun He’s dead, Jim - some people are expendable He’s dead, Jim - it’s not like they’re anyone He’s dead, Jim - I’m surrounded by incompetents He’s dead, Jim - It’s not my fault, it’s not my fault…

WILLIAM I'm a missing person reported Last seen in a Photoshopped frame Though no one’s seen my face They all seem to know my name The imaginary alter ego Of your imaginary design A mostly ghostly creature Who comes and goes from time to time DAVE And though I've got some harmonies I sing your stories by choice And here's the fist of irony They only hear... my voice. But there'd be no “Mission” today There'd be no “Rats in the Kitchen” There'd be no “Far Away” Without your words... my inspiration. D: I need to use your words again W: You'll just change them anyway D: Now it's time to start again. W: I have these for you today D: It's a start... I need a pen W: Here it comes... DAVE We'll move this verse, and add a line Maybe we can change it to three-quarter time I think we need a little more internal rhyme Then we'll alliterate and syncopate And add a bridge and Just a smidge of Counterpoint and other shit Don't bother me, I'm workin' on it Oh-----! Then we'll drop a little Rock and Roll-----! Oh-----! Gonna drop a little Rock and Roll-----! W: That's not what I would say! D: But it scans better that way! W: But it's not what I would say! D: I'm so sorry. W: That's ok. WILLIAM There’s no lake, no flowers Even I may not believe I ever existed or lived in the towers Such is my invisibility D: But there'd be no “Summer Rain” W: I'm the Invisible Man D: ...no “Yesterday Hero” W: Claude Rains and his shadow D: ...no “Harvey Ray” W: They all seem to vanish D: It’s all there in the lines just listen W: Then appear again in the morning light W: I often wonder – was it you or was it me? D: Does it really matter who wrote down the line? D: It's our songs that people hear, and not our faces see W: Well, I'm sure whatever you decide is fine. DAVE: Lon Chaney had a thousand faces, none of them his own The art transcends the artist, at least that's what I understand BOTH: And you and I've a legacy to call our very own Conceived by an invisible hand Conceived by an invisible hand Behold the Invisible Man! Behold the Invisible Man! Behold the Invisible Man!
