about
So, the first thing that popped in my mind was Mordor. By definition I feel it’s safe to call Mordor it’s own country. First, it has it’s own rules and governance and leadership, it occupies it’s own particular territory. Just, with orcs and goblins and stuff. If that doesn’t work for you, it’s definitely out IN the country away from major cities...and Frodo himself refers to Mordor as the “dark country” in the The Two Towers. So there.
I consulted Tolkein expert, Doug Brown for facts and information to ascertain how the orcs would have perceived their countryhood. We agreed that orcs would totally be into eating elves.
lyrics
Mordor, o, Mordor
Our blood be spilt for thee
in the shadow of Mount Doom
All for you we sing
Mordor, o, Mordor
Into your bloody hands
We place our orcish hearts and sing
Our enemies be damned!
Mordor, o, Mordor
Your mighty fortress rise!
O Baradur, you rise up strong
Under Lord Sauron’s eye!
M is for Morannon, the great Black Gates of might
and O is for odiferous, the smell of blood and fright
and R is for revenge we took, both towers no be ours
D is for the darkness in the shadow of the spires
O is for Order that our might will bring to all
and R is for the rotten flesh of elves we feast upon
Mordor, o, Mordor
Our blood be spilt for thee
in the shadow of Mount Doom
All for you we sing
Mordor, o, Mordor
Into your bloody hands
We place our orcish hearts and sing
Our enemies be damned!
Mordor, o, Mordor
Your mighty fortress rise!
O Baradur, you rise up strong
Under Lord Sauron’s eye!
