Jose Antonio Vargas is a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist, who recently wrote an exposee on himself, confessing to illegally working in the US for over 15 years. He hopes to bring national attention to the plight of undocumented workers, garner support for the DREAM Act, and hopefully avoid deportation in the process. Note the inscription from the Statue of Liberty is featured in the bridge.

I’ve been working, Writing national news.
Reporting stories, and paying my taxes too.
But I’m always afraid, they’ll figure me out one day. I’m giving up the charade.

Well this time, The story is mine
But you’re out there, and we gotta work together
You live hard, you wish on a card
But I know I’ve got to try to make it better
Breaking news and bending the laws, here I go-- here I go. Taking one for the cause.

I must be crazy... Finally showing my hand
But get ‘em talking and, perhaps they’ll understand
If they still believe, the American dream, maybe, we can end up finally free.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning’ to breathe free.
I’m liftin’ my light, so won’t you send them to me.
