about

Costaguana is a fictional country from the novel "Nostromo" by Joseph Conrad. Nostromo is set in the South American country of Costaguana. Though Costaguana is a fictional nation, its geography as described in the book resembles real-life Colombia. Costaguana has a long history of tyranny, revolution and warfare, but has recently experienced a period of stability under the dictator Ribiera.

lyrics

Down the shore for a visit
revolution, warfare...is it...so ordinary you can't stay?
The silver mines are humming
corruption, wealth...are you coming? and won't you stay?

Costaguana...all the coins are moving

Nostromos, shipmate, our man
wealthy, respect, and command...How long will you stay?

Lost my mind, on the island
stuck to the bottom of the sea
But nevermind, Costaguana
just...wasn't for me

You on the other hand should come
You should stay forever
